What will happen during my visit?
In the Breast Care Centre, your screening
and diagnostic tests will take place during the first visit, all coordinated in one appointment. You will see a breast surgeon who is highly trained and specialized in Breast Care. He or she will perform:
– a clinical assessment
– a physical exam
– imaging tests relevant to your care (mammogram, ultrasound or biopsy)
How long will my appointment be?
Your appointment will take a few hours at most depending on how many tests are recommended for you.
Occasionally, additional diagnostic testing outside the clinic is required.
Follow up for results will be arranged during your visit
